Platinum Packaging Ltd can provide the most comprehensive flexible packaging and labelling solutions available.
In today’s day and age, flexible packaging plays a very important role in packaging a myriad of products. Apart from adequately protecting the product inside the packaging, it also acts as an avenue to showcase the “brand”. The packaging holds key information about the product and enables the consumer to make an informed choice. It goes without saying that an attractive package provides valuable insights and perspectives that help move the product from shelf to cart! To sustain the “goodwill” of the product, naturally the product itself has to be intact as desired. Flexible packaging provides excellent barrier properties to protect most of the products. The two main barriers required are barrier from oxygen permeability and barrier from moisture vapour transmission.
Platinum packaging is one of the leading gravure and digital printed Flexible Packaging company in the Eastern & Central African region.
Despite being in a developing world, our vast experience in the printing and packaging industry equates us to the most advanced flexible packaging converters globally.
Platinum packaging limited helps clients to gain significant advantages by guiding them through the whole process of innovation from design, concepts, packaging materials, printing and converting.
Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or consumer packaged goods (CPG) are products that are sold quickly and at relatively low cost. Examples include non-durable goods such as soft drinks, toiletries, over-the-counter drugs, processed foods and many other consumables. By the very nature of its buying pattern, the packed product should be intact as intended as well as the packaging should be very attractive to catch the buyers eye. Flexible packaging is best suited to “interact” in this industry segment. Platinum Packaging Limited has always been committed towards sustainable options of flexible packaging. Being on the edge of innovation we provide packaging that keeps the products safe, fresh and devoid of any harmful reactions.
Most food products require modified atmosphere or vacuum packaging. This includes fresh meats, processed meats, cheeses, seafood and other perishable products- these require high oxygen barriers to avoid oxidation of the product. Substrates such as Poly-amide or EVOH is used to provide protection against oxygen contaminating the product. In cases of snacks, biscuits coffee & milk powder which are highly hygroscopic, these products require the highest form of protection from moisture. The packaging is thus custom combinations of film structures of mono layers or a composite laminated structure with the lowest Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate, and also provides excellent optics and high abrasion and puncture resistance.
Agro-chemicals are of different types. Granules, powders or liquids. Depending on the barrier property required, the packaging is chosen. For example, for aggressive liquid packaging, the solution is to have a laminated structure which is two-ply or three-ply which has resistance to aggressive substances- this construction deters the product to penetrate the substrates. For normal powders and granules, depending on how hygroscopic the product is, the packaging is chosen accordingly. For hygroscopic agro—chemical products, a composite laminated structure with the lowest Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate is used.
In addition to clear business advantage, sustainable packaging offers exploring innovative options both for the flexible packaging manufacturer and the consumer. It is important that both the sectors work together to employ a number of innovative approach to improve sustainability of their products like recycling and reprocessing infrastructure, using optimum packaging, producing packaging from bio-based materials etc.
With the constant R&D for safer and environment friendly packaging, the company is dedicated to bring safer, better and sustainable packaging solutions. We at Platinum Packaging, recycle all our wastes which are then used to produce fencing posts and outdoor furniture etc.
Flexible packaging is also extensively used in pharmaceuticals, construction feedstock like tile-grout and cement, automobile industry e.g. packing of engine oil etc.
